Terms of Use

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract to use Resto. If you join on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to do so.

You agree to give accurate, current information about yourself, including your real name, a work email you control, and your own LinkedIn profile. You may not impersonate anyone or create a profile for someone else without their permission.

By joining, you give Resto a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your profile information in the member directory and to use it to operate the Service, including suggesting introductions. You can remove your profile at any time.

We may review, edit for clarity, decline, or remove any profile at our discretion, for example to keep the network limited to the restaurant industry.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, copy, export, or harvest member information, by automated means or otherwise.
• Use member information to send spam, bulk messages, or unsolicited marketing.
• Resell, share, or publish the directory or any member's contact details.
• Harass, threaten, mislead, or defraud other members.
• Post unlawful, infringing, or misleading content.
• Interfere with, probe, or try to bypass the security of the Service.
• Use the Service to build a competing directory or database.

We may suspend or remove anyone who breaks these rules, without notice.

Introductions are double opt-in: both members must agree before contact details are shared. We do not guarantee that you will receive any introductions, or any particular result from them, such as a hire, deal, investment, or sale.

Resto does not screen members beyond basic verification and is not a party to any agreement or relationship between members. You are responsible for your own dealings with other members and should use your own judgment before sharing information, entering a deal, or meeting in person.

Resto uses artificial intelligence to summarize profiles and suggest matches. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. It is offered for convenience, not as professional, legal, financial, or employment advice, and you should verify anything important yourself.

Joining the directory is currently free. We may introduce paid memberships. If we do, the price, billing terms, and cancellation terms will be shown before you subscribe, and you will only be charged if you choose a paid plan.

The Resto name, logo, site design, software, and the compiled directory belong to Resto and are protected by law. These Terms do not give you any right to use them except to use the Service as intended.

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

You can leave at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or end your access at any time, for any reason, including a breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers, limits on liability, and indemnity) will survive.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that member information is accurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Resto and its owners, partners, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service or your dealings with other members. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You agree to defend and indemnify Resto against any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, your dealings with other members, or your breach of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Resto's operating entity is organized, without regard to conflict of law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us and try to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days. Any claim must be brought individually, not as part of a class or representative action.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify members by email or on the site. Continuing to use Resto after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
